Kreateng Bootcamp students bag brand new laptop and cash prizes
On Friday, 29th April, 2022, Kreateng Africa hosted the closing ceremony of the 5th edition of Tech Skill acquisition Boot camp. The Boot Camp which is targeted at empowering young people across all walks of life with needed tech skills was concluded after four weeks of intensive training.
While speaking at the event, Oladele Dada, the Chief Marketing Officer and Co-founder of Kreateng pointed out that the boot camp is in line with the commitment of Kreateng to empower young people with in-demand tech skills in 2022.
The CEO, Adedayo Okunfolami while speaking lauded the two sponsors of the edition, OmegaPro and Awacash. He tasked the students to live up to the investments of the two organizations. It should be noted that OmegaPro and Awacash sponsored 50 students to be trained in Data science, Graphic Design and Project Management/Business Analysis for the period of four weeks.
The representative of OmegaPro, Bonaventure Igboanugo while speaking to the new Tech bros and sis charged them to put their skills to use by way of practicing and monetizing the new skills acquired.
The high point of the event was when one of the students, Jesuniyi Blessing, a final year law student of the University of Lagos who received a scholarship to attend the bootcamp while his university is on strike, was awarded a new laptop and five others were given NGN20,000 cash prize.
One of the tutors, Oyetunde Ipadeola, a programmer and data scientist, while giving his address noted that the training was intense for 3 days a week, spanning 4 hours daily which led to 48hours of learning in total. He charged the students that it was just the beginning for them and that they needed to give time to practice their newly acquired skills.
My Junior brother was a participant of the Data Science training and I must say the instructor did very as he was always engaged with the resources provided and he has been developing with soo much enthusiasm ever since. Kudos
