DANIEL ONOJA FOUNDATION BOOTCAMP 8.0 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH KREATENGAFRICA
The Daniel Onoja Foundation Bootcamp which had over three thousand applicants and one hundred and fifty selected participants ended on the 26th of September, 2022. The four weeks intensive bootcamp which is the eighth edition was held in partnership with one of Nigeria’s fastest growing tech companies, Kreateng Africa.
The Skill Empowerment through Tech by the Daniel Onoja Foundation was aimed at training and providing participants with necessary tech abilities to successfully traverse their technologically oriented world. This is done in conjunction with Kreateng Africa’s goal to seeing several young people trained in various tech skills in Africa.
The courses taught during the bootcamp are Web Development, Data Science, Project Management, Digital Marketing and Graphic Design. These courses were taught by some prominent members and experts in various aspects tech discipline. The names of the tutors include Gbenga Johnson, Samuel Dada, Oyetunde Ipadeola, Chiamaka Ugoji, Celeb Garber, Oreoluwa Aremu and Obaloluwa Dairo.
At the closing ceremony, the president and founder of the Daniel Onoja Foundation, Mr. Daniel Onoja emphasized the emergence of technology and its importance in the world of today. According to him, “the effort is crucial for the people at this time when the world has gone digital and is dominated by technology. With technology, money could be earned legally and people can find productive employment”.
One of the major highlights of the day was the presentation of certificate and gifts to the best students. Kehinde Ajewole who was one of the best students and was also rewarded with a brand-new HP laptop expressed his gratitude to Daniel Onoja, the Daniel Onoja Foundation, Kreateng and the tutors. He described the bootcamp as an impactful one and stated that the gift would be used to put what he has learnt into practice.
Others students expressed their appreciation to all the organizers of the program stating that they will all put what they have learnt to use, look at impacting the society they are look at working in their area of skills.
