NON TECHNICAL ROLES IN TECH
Many people on hearing the word Technology or as it’s often called “tech” assume it’s a difficult space involving complex codes and algorithms. Aside the technical roles which involve training and expertise in code building, there are many other roles in the tech space which are referred to as non-technical roles and they do not require coding. Here are some of the non technical roles in tech:
PRODUCT MARKETING
Product marketing is the driving force behind getting products to the market and keeping them there. Product marketers are focused on understanding, positioning and selling products to potential customers.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
A product manager guides every step of a product’s lifecycle. It involves the practice of strategically driving the development, market launch, continual support and improvement of a company’s products.
RESEARCH ANALYST
Research analysts assess consumer preferences to help brands decide how to shape, advertise, and market their products and services.
CONTENT MANAGEMENT
Content management is a set of processes and technologies that supports the collection, managing, and publishing of information in any form or medium.
CUSTOMER SUCCESS
Customer success is anticipating customer challenges or questions and proactively providing solutions and answers. Customer success helps you boost customer happiness and retention, thus increasing your revenue and customer loyalty.
BRAND SPECIALIST
A brand specialist helps define the way that consumers think about a company’s goods or services; this can involve consistency of logos and colors, focused advertising spaces, event sponsorships, and other approaches.
SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
A Social Media Specialist is responsible for directly interacting with network users and virtual communities through their company’s social media accounts to build brand awareness, which in turn, generate results and sales.
In conclusion, there are roles in tech which could be referred to as somewhat artistic engagements which do not require some arithmetic and codified “gibberish”. If you are looking to get into the tech space and like me, you don’t like the sight of coding, then you have your set of alternatives.
