“One of Ten Startups get past one year” Expert says as Kreateng marks 3 years anniversary
Amidst pomp and pageantry, Kreateng’s third year anniversary was marked with a one week series of events. With diverse activities came diverse dignitaries to celebrate and encourage the organization and her members towards the theme “Expanding reach beyond Africa”. Some of the guests and also members of board of advisory included Femi Banwo (founding partner of Banwo & Ighodalo), Prof Christian Happi (Director of African Centre of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases), Femi Soremekun (Founder and Managing Director Biofem Group) and Mojisola Garber (Managing Director at Berachah Microfinance Bank Ltd).
The anniversary was also graced by the founder and CEO of SterlingPro, Mr Omotayo Okunfolami, who gave the anniversary lecture. He encouraged staff members to be exceptional employees who always ensure they make their presence count and be important team players in the organization rather than just marking attendance.
The second day of the anniversary was to recognise exceptional members of the Bootcamp Alumni and also launch the bootcamp Kreateng alumni community. (Odih Rick Ikechukwu – Graphic design, Oluwasemilore Omotade Micheals – Web development and Francis Clem – Digital Marketing) were recognised for their exceptional works since the completion of their training. On the bootcamp, Dada Samuel, Digital Marketing tutor said the bootcamp community initiative is to help participants grow, share opportunities and leverage on one another’s strength to carry out tasks.
Mr Olamide Afolabi, CEO of Touch and Pay and Oladele Dada, the CMO of KreatengAfrica were also present as panelist to talk about entrepreneurship in a volatile economy alongside Mr Lekan Bankole, CEO of extramileAfrica, also gave insights on creating and developing a scalable products. Another important part of the anniversary was the visit to Denukan Network Limited. The CEO, Mr Ayo Odunekan talked about the place of the employee in the success of a company. He emphasized how the effectiveness of the employee can help achieve the goals of an organization.
To mark the end of the anniversary week a dinner session was held with members, friends and family of the organization. Speaking at the Dinner, Mr Bonaventure Igboanugo, commended the effort and impact of the organization. While giving his vote of thanks, the CEO of Kreateng, Adedayo Okunfolami noted that the success of three years is attributed to the various people who have at one point or the other worked at the organization. He further stated that he hopes to see the organization grow to achieve its full potential.
