Project Overview

Redeemer’s University is the host for 33rd Conference of the Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities with the theme: Revitalization of University Education in Nigeria. The university wanted a website for the event and also branding for the event.

The Back Story

The Association of Vice-chancellors of Nigerian Universities (AVCNU) is the umbrella organization for Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Federal, State and Private Universities. Up till the late 80’s, all the universities in the country were owned by the Federal Government but because of the need to expand access, State Governments too stated to set up their own universities.

This went on until the early 90’s when licenses were issued to individuals and private organizations to establish Private Universities. It was therefore because of the need to bring all Vice-Chancellors together irrespective of their proprietorship that informed the formation of the Association. Hitherto, all the three components of the Association, the Federal, State and Private had their own Committees viz Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Federal Universities (CVC), Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian State Universities (CVCNSU) and Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Private Universities (CVCNPU).

Vice-Chancellors realized the need for them to forge a united front in addressing the Coach Bags Outlet challenges facing university education in the country and hence their resolve to come together. That decision has really helped the system because it afforded Vice-Chancellors to meet, discuss, interact and exchange ideas and information among themselves.
