BOOT CAMP 6.0: A MOMENT OF IMPACT IN THE REPUBLIC OF BENIN.

The 4-day intensive tech skill acquisition tagged Boot Camp 6.0 took place in Cotonou, Benin Republic from 7th to 10th August, 2022 with the sole aim of empowering the participants with requisite Tech skills needed to navigate their tech inclined world. This is in line with Kreateng Africa’s commitment to see young people take bold steps in becoming a part of the solution technology provides. 

Special guest, Rev Fr. Jude Chidiebere Ndinechi, Padre, St. Valerian Catholic Church, Sekandgi, Agongbome, Cotonou at the closing ceremony remarked that the initiative was a critical development for young people in the community at a time that the world has become digital and is driven by technology. He further stated that with technology, money can be made legitimately and young people can be gainfully employed with the different tech skills available.

The courses offered to the participants included Web Development, Project Management, Digital Marketing and Graphic Design, facilitated by Oladele Dada, Gbenga Johnson, Samuel Dada and Obaloluwa Dairo respectively.  

One of the participants, Collins Prince noted that it was a time of great impact learning a new skill. He appreciated the organizers of the training for bringing to their community the great initiative.

While speaking at the closing ceremony and award of certificate to participants, Mr Bonaventure Igboanugo the sponsor of the boot camp and representative of OmegaPro stated that his vision is to have young people empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to become financially independent. He noted that he was impressed by the turnout and the zeal of the young people to learn a legitimate skill to earn their income.

Dayo Okunfolami, CEO Kreateng, while giving a closing remark urged the participants at the Boot Camp 6.0 not to stop practicing and learning more about the new skill they had acquired. He further charged them to be champions of new tech solutions in their country, Benin Republic.

It would be noted that the Kreateng bootcamp is a series of bootcamp with the 7.0 edition ending on the 19th August, 2022 and the 8.0 edition starting on 26th August, 2022.
